Lone Ranger Clone?
What western B hero was so impressed with the Lone Ranger outfit worn in one of the serials, that he adopted it throughout the remainder of his career in films? He even wore the domino mask in many westerns he appeared in, going so far as to do a rip-off series that was very close to the masked rider of the plains. The name of the actor should be easy to come to mind, but how in many different series did he ride his white horse and don the mask?

The answer (I think) is Bob Livingston, who played the LR in the second serial. He wore the mask and rode the white horse in his second series of 3 Mesquiteer Westerns (with Duncan Renaldo and Raymond Hatton) at Republic. He also wore the mask and was called the Lone Rider at PRC, but I don't know if he rode a white horse there. I think he did, but I'm not sure.

Right you are Jerry.........Bob Livingston adopted the Lone Rangers tailored clothing for his Three Mesquiteer appearances and even donned the mask in a couple of them. Amazing how he could remain dressed the same and just by donning that little domino mask nobody knew who he was. At PRC he became the Lone Rider and pretty much carried on business as usual. I think the white horse remained with him too, but maybe not the silvered trappings that Republic gave him for his horse.
