WELL.........THAT WAS SHORT I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER THAN TO POST SUCH A QUESTION WHEN SPACE PATROL FAN JOHN IS ABOUT. YES, HE PLAYED A VILLAIN ON MANY OF THE SATURDAY MORNING SPACE PATROL SHOW ON THE ABC NETWORK IN THE EARLY 50s.

Did Van Cleef play a sustaining villain on the show or a series of evil characters?

He appeared at least two times as different villains. He was mean and evil as the parts demanded. He never had a sustaining character throughout the series.
