I'm about halfway through the Buck Rogers serial and I'm really enjoying it (so much so that I've ordered Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe). I've become very impressed with Buster Crabbe's acting, his style and his presence. What a man !!
Crimson Collector (3/19/03 5:42 am)Crabbe as "Buck" After the success of the Flash Gordon serials, Universal thought they had a winner with Buck Rogers. For some reason it did not enjoy the success of the Gordon serials and was not a big hit for them in theaters. It was a bit too similar to Flash with just minor changes and the ships were not as nifty looking. I find it fun to watch, even with its faults.
