I've just watch the doco on the J-Men Forever DVD containing a 2001 interview with George Wallace. What a fascinating life !!! A boxer, navy man, lumberjack, bouncer, bartender and with a great singing voice. He cites a fist fight between himself and Clayton Moore going bad - broken nose then back on the set after an hour. He still goes the Gym 3 times a week and does boxing once a week !! Although I preferred both Judd Holdren and Tris Coffin as Rocketman, I guess he is the only person to play Commando Cody where one could actually see his face. I've often wondered if he was offered the role in the TV series (instead of a masked Judd Holdren). Anyway its still my all time favourite serial (I first saw it on TV here in Australia in the late 50's) - Spy Smasher (which I first saw only a few weeks ago, courtesy of the Purple Monster) comes a close second.
