Clark's Closet Strikes Again |
The items in this gallery were scanned a very long time ago when the large resolution on computer monitors was a mere 640 pixels across and, as a result, the original images were sized to fit comfortably into that screen size. Today, screen sizes are a lot larger, but we no longer have access to the original books in order to do new scans, so some of the larger images may not be quite as clear as one would like. |
English printing of nearly all of Brown's Science Fiction stories. |
Considered by many to be the first modern graphic novel: a reprinting of a serialized George Metzger story circa mid-70s. Done by Kyle & Wheary in hardback. First and only printing. |
 Was Kirby ever more dynamic?
Was Cap ever better?
Note the position of Cap on #101...very reminiscent of Kirby's style in the 40s. |
 More Barry Smith Conan. |
More Corben in the final issue of the Warren experiment. |
More Warren material from the 60s: Eerie #12 and 14.
Too scary! |
More pulp reprints from Adventure House. |
A sampling of the hard-boiled comic strip written by Mickey Spillane with art by Ed Robbins. Published by Ken Pierce. |
 A well done WWII mini-series. |
Even more insanity from Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen # 98, 101, 149 and 150. Top two are by Curt Swan, bottom two by Bob Oskner. |
Spirit dailies by Jack Cole and Lou Fine. Unfortunately, the stips are cut up and repasted to fit the page. Maybe DC will do better? Published by Ken Pierce in the 70s. |
Dell comics were just downright fun. This time around, Tarzan #70, 77 and 85. |
