Even More Items from Clark's Closet

The items in this gallery were scanned a very long time ago when the largest resolution on computer monitors was a mere 640 pixels across and, as a result, the original images were sized to fit comfortably into that screen size. Today, screen sizes are a lot larger, but we no longer have access to the original books in order to do new scans, so some of the larger images may not be quite as clear as one would like.

A selection of Boy Comics
Another set of Boy Comics featuring Crimebuster. By this point in the run, the stories were more comic than serious. The owner of the comics would only let me scan them if I left them in the bags which is why they are a bit blurry.
Special Edition Series 3
Special Edition Series #3 from Dynapubs. Front and Back covers. Reprints a long sequence of Captain Marvel, Jr. stories with Raboy art. Very hard to find.
Barry Smith's Conan
More of Barry Smith's Conan with a Gil Kane cover thrown in for good measure.
Creepy
Warren's Creepy.#2. Frazetta cover art. Scary stuff!
2 High Adventure covers
A couple of pulp reprints from Adventure House.
Covers from Strange Tales
Nearing the end of Steranko's run on Nick Fury and, coincidentally, the end of Strange Tales. Dr. Strange took over the numbering with the next issue.
Comix International 1
In an attempt to increase sales, Warren began to run 8 page color sections in their B & W magazines in the early 70s and purposely overprinted the sections, which were later bound into Comix International, except for those that featured The Spirit. This issue was all-Corben, due to his tremendous following at the time.
Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen
Although silly and inane, you gotta love this book! This time around, #84, 83, 81, 80, 74, 70, 58 and 56.
Large Feature Comic 9
A reprint of Dell's Large Feature Comic #9 (1939), which was a reprinting of a segment of the King of the Royal Mounted newspaper strip by Allen Dean.
Captain George's Comic World presents Silver Starr
Flash Gordon meets Pellucidar in this Australian strip, Silver Starr, written and drawn by Stanley Pitt.
Two Tarzan covers
Dell comics are good comics and the Dell Tarzan was the best of all the various incarnations of the apeman. These comics, #61 and 107, featured art by Jesse Marsh.
Witzend 9
A real change of pace for the venerable fanzine. All Fields all the time and much of the issue was written by (I think) Don McGregor, although I can't say why my rememberer thinks this.
